Level 1 classes

This class is for tweens and teens and is limited to 6 designers per class. Each designer will bring their finished project home. Sewing machines are provided or you can bring your own. These are drop off classes, no public allowed.

We will spend 6 hours spread over 3 days:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm

Except June 22 - 23 - 24 : Wednesday through Friday from 3pm to 5 pm

and  June 28 - 29 - 30 : Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 pm

LEVEL 1 is a class  for those who have never used a sewing machine.  You will: 

---> Get to know and enjoy your sewing machine.

 ---> Learn the parts of the sewing machine and its terminology.

--->  Learn to start the machine, thread the needle, sew a straight stitch, a stop stitch and zig zag stitch, make a hem.

--->  Discover troubleshooting basics : thread, tension, jam.

--->  Make something! Each student will have their own machine and will make their own handmade DRAWSTRING BAG.

All materials will be provided.
